Shortly after graduation, moved to Colorado to begin life with now husband of 11 years, Geoff, and to start her career. She initially started in corporate medicine and worked up through leadership, but then wanted to refocus on personal relationships with clients, which  can sometimes be lacking in modern veterinary medicine. Personal interests include succulents and bonsai trees along with cheering the Buffaloes, Wildcats and Chiefs on with her two kids, Spencer, 10, and Harper, 6. She has two dogs at home, Finnegan and Walter, who frequently get to spend the day at the clinic with her.

Sara Wenkheimer, Veterinarian (Exotics, Small Animal Surgeon)

Her and her husband Erich have two wonderful kids; Konrad who is 5 years old and Gretchen who is 3.  Personal interests include spending time with her family, her pets, and gardening. Lisa Kaminski, Veterinarian
Dr. Lisa Kaminski is a Las Vegas native. She attended Nevada State College for her bachelor’s in biology. Later attending Colorado State University for a master’s in Integrated Resource Management and then getting her doctorate in veterinary medicine at Colorado State University. She started her career as a general practitioner in Reno then in Oregon and eventually settling in Fort Collins. A new opportunity came around to be the chief veterinarian at a local shelter and it was there that she found a passion for helping undeserved pets and their humans. Circumstances had Dr. Kaminski changing careers again but she continues to work for rescues and shelters around Colorado and other states.

When she isn’t traveling for work, she enjoys vacations with her husband or even staying home for staycations. Movies, taking the pups for walks and concerts or shows are how they spend their free time. They have three dogs and two cats. In her younger years living in Las Vegas she used to moonlight as an extra in several movies. Maybe you can guess which ones.
